  • Whisk
  • Electric mixer
  • Spatula
  • Zester
  • 8 x 8 inch baking dish
  • Plastic wrap
  • Knife and cutting board

Instructions

(Gather and prepare all the ingredients)

1. Slice the strawberries and zest the orange. Cut zested orange in half and juice it.

2. In a bowl (large enough to dip the ladyfingers), whisk together the strawberry jam and orange juice together. You can add 1-2 teaspoons of water if the mixture is too thick. Put mixture aside for now. Then, mix the mascarpone with the orange zest in a bowl. Set this aside for now.

3. Whip together the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl with a mixer on medium speed until stiff peaks form. This can take about 6-8 minutes.

4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined and smooth.

5. Dip half the ladyfingers into the strawberry jam mixture for about 1-2 seconds, making sure not to soak them. Line the bottom of the baking dish with a layer of dipped ladyfingers.

6. Spread jam over the ladyfingers to make sure they are well covered.

7. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers in an even layer.

8. Add a layer of sliced strawberries over the mascarpone mixture.

9. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

10. Top with more sliced strawberries.
